Emotive Writing

This week we had to write about a piece of music. We had to write down how it made us feel and what it reminded us of. This is my story!

My heart is pumping as I sit down in the soft velvet seat. There are almost no children in the Theater. My dress is starting to become strangely uncomfortable. The conductor walks onto the stage. My skin is prickling horribly. Suddenly, the music starts up. My skin feels like it is covered by a chilly robe. I am swept away, lost in my own world as the music echoes around me. My thoughts sway in time to the beautiful, grand beat. I am transfixed. My eyes are glued to the scene in front of me. I won’t look away, I can’t! My stomach feels as though those musical instruments are really inside it, all pumping out the rhythm that makes me feel weird. My head pounds as the last note rings out. I am swept back to the world of humans and a hot stuffy Theater. I clap until my hands hurt. That music was breathtaking!

I was going to the orchestra with my Aunt, her friend and my sister. It was my first time and I was really nervous. When I heard the music I thought it was beautiful! There were basically no children there and it was nearly all adults. My sister got a bit tired after a while. I, However, loved it! I have loved music all my life and will never stop loving it. It was a once in a lifetime experience and I will never forget it!
